The people behind the games

Greater Games is Greta Hoffmann and a crew that changes with every project. Everyone who works on a game gets named, and usually drawn.

Founder

Greta Hoffmann

Greta founded Greater Games and designs, draws and produces most of what you see on this site. She has been making games that teach since 2013, from waste-sorting monsters to squirrels that invest.

She is Professor of Game Design at the Cologne Game Lab (TH Köln) and did her PhD at KIT on game design for learning. She co-organises the RAW Talent booth at gamescom and sits on the board of the DGSW. She still thinks German bread is the best metaphor for good games.

Every game ends with the people who made it.

Every game gets its own credits page, designed together with the people who made it. Everyone is built in as a character that fits them: on Punzel, everyone got their own gobbo.
